Weihrerhof: Our Philosophy

It is wonderful that you have chosen to stay with us and spend the most beautiful days of the year here. We shall do our best to make them as pleasant as possible. In our hotel you can do everything, but you are not obliged to do anything.

You have, I am sure, already asked yourself why the Weihrerhof uses such eccentric descriptions as Windspiel, Wallner etc. for its rooms.

Already in the Bronze Age, about 2000 BC, there were settlements round about the present-day Weihrerhof , the so-called Wallburgen. There were also standing stones with their mystical attraction that are still preserved today. We have taken over the names of these settlements and probably their mystic attraction as well for whoever comes to the Weihrerhof once will come again...

During our last renovation in 2005 we placed special importance on using local materials (stone from Andrian, fir trees from Sarntal, larches from Renon, South Tyrolean porphyry etc.), so that you can feel ever so much at home here.

For one feels most at home only where the host and the surroundings are genuine, authentic and well-established. By doing this, however, we have remained true to our motto 'SMALL BUT NICE.

We have done our best to create rooms in which you can escape from everyday life, but the open countryside still offers you the best opportunity to escape from everything at home.

There are many opportunities to enjoy this. Hiking, running, cycling, but also simply sitting in the wood or lying on meadows and much more besides. Just simply try and breathe in the air through your nose and you will experience the fragrance of nature in all its variety and learn to love it...

Stop for a moment whilst you are out hiking and marvel at the world of mountains, at the natural forest, or simply at how the bees collect pollen for honey.

You will surely find nature as beautiful as we do. This is holidaying at its very best
